DSC_0082

After earning my undergraduate degree in Animal Husbandry from University of Agriculture Faisalabad, Pakistan. I joined SB Poultry, which chiseled my academic interests and I started my Master of Philosophy (molecular biology and biotechnology) in 2008. My M.Phil research; “DNA fingerprinting of Pakistani buffalo breeds using mitochondrial & microsatellite markers” triggered me to pursue my PhD in the same subject from University of Veterinary & Animal Sciences, Lahore, Pakistan under the HEC indigenous scholarship program. I joined Dr. Lyons feline genetics & comparative medicine lab at MU as a PhD visiting research scholar in Sep 2013 under international research support initiative program (HEC) Pakistan. My research interests are gene expression through real-time qPCR and disease associated mutation analysis by conventional PCR and genome-wide association studies in different neoplasias of dogs and cats. In my leisure time, I love to coddle myself in chit chatting with my lovely broods. Geography, astronomy, swimming and flowering are side interests.
