Nicholas Gustafson

Nick

I was born and raised right here in Columbia, Missouri. I come from a 7th generational farming family from the state of Colorado.  I attended Rock Bridge High School here in Columbia and then attended Moberly Area Community College before transferring to the University of Missouri seeking a degree in Crop Management through the school of Agriculture.  I have always had a strong interest in genetics and research as my father worked for the USDA as a cereal geneticist for 40 years. Most of my previous experience in a laboratory setting was working with soybeans but I have found the transition to feline genetics smooth and enjoyable. The majority of my time in the lab is spent operating a Sequenom (MALDI-TOF) Mass Array Analyzer. My hobbies outside of work are Golf, Fishing, World Travelling, and Cooking.
